Detailed itinerary

1

Cruise past the historic St. Mary’s Tower, a 17th-century coastal fort built by the Knights of St. John. Perched high on Comino’s cliffs, it once guarded the channel between Malta and Gozo. Film fans may recognise it from The Count of Monte Cristo (2002), where it appeared as the Château d'If prison.

Beneath the cliff where the tower stands, we’ll enter the beautiful Lovers Cave by boat — a peaceful and romantic sea cave only accessible from the water, perfect for a quiet moment and some stunning photos.

2

Sail to one of Comino’s most dramatic natural wonders—L-Għar ta' Bla Saqaf, or “the cave without a roof.” This sea cave features a massive collapsed ceiling, creating a natural skylight that floods the interior with sunlight. The cave's unique structure and lighting make it a favorite spot for photography and exploration. Known locally as It-Tieqa or Taħt il-Ħnejja, this cave is also referred to as Popeye’s Cave, having been featured in the 1980s movie Popeye starring Robin Williams.

3

Nestled on the western side of Comino, Crystal Lagoon is a breathtaking bay known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters and towering limestone cliffs. Accessible only by boat, this peaceful haven offers a more secluded alternative to the Blue Lagoon.

We'll anchor here for a swim and snorkel stop, with time to explore the nearby sea caves — some large enough to enter with the boat, others perfect for a quiet dip. The cliffs surrounding the lagoon are also a popular spot for cliff diving, offering thrills for those feeling adventurous, with varying heights for all comfort levels.

4

Explore the P31, a former Maltese patrol boat intentionally scuttled in 2009 to create an artificial reef and diving attraction. Resting upright on a sandy seabed at depths ranging from 18 to 20 meters, the wreck's highest point is just 7 meters below the surface. On days with good visibility, the entire structure can be seen from the surface, making it accessible to snorkelers and free divers. The clear waters and shallow depth also make it an excellent site for beginner divers. The wreck is home to various marine life, including schools of fish and colorful invertebrates, offering a unique underwater experience.

5

Located just off the western coast of Cominotto Island, Cominotto Reef—also known as Anchor Reef—is a hidden gem for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. This vibrant reef features dramatic underwater landscapes, including steep drop-offs, overhangs, and swim-throughs, with depths ranging from 10 to 40 meters. The reef is teeming with marine life such as octopuses, moray eels, and various colorful fish species, making it a captivating spot for underwater exploration. The clear waters and diverse habitats offer an unforgettable experience for both novice and experienced divers.

6

Just across from Comino’s Blue Lagoon lies the uninhabited islet of Cominotto, a tranquil escape renowned for its crystal-clear waters, rugged cliffs, and unique swim-through caves. Despite its modest size, Cominotto offers a secluded sandy beach and an adventurous sea tunnel that’s perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

The surrounding area is rich in marine life, making it ideal for snorkelers and free divers. Cliff diving is also popular here, with various jump heights catering to thrill-seekers.

Cominotto and the surrounding coastline have also caught the eye of Hollywood — scenes from Troy (2004), starring Brad Pitt, and Swept Away (2002), featuring Madonna, were filmed in the area, drawn by its dramatic natural scenery and unspoiled beauty.

Accessible only by boat, Cominotto remains one of the Blue Lagoon’s most picturesque and peaceful gems.

7

The Blue Lagoon is Malta’s most iconic swimming spot — famous for its dazzling turquoise waters, white sandy seabed, and stunning surroundings. This sheltered bay between Comino and Cominotto offers ideal conditions for swimming, snorkelling, and simply relaxing in crystal-clear water.

Unlike crowded public tours, our private boat experience allows you to enjoy the lagoon from the best vantage points — including quieter areas away from the masses. You’ll have time to swim, float, or explore the nearby coves, with your skipper guiding you to the most peaceful and scenic parts.

Whether you're after postcard-perfect photos or a refreshing dip in the clearest water around, the Blue Lagoon is a must-see — and there's no better way to enjoy it than on a private boat.

Please note: Due to new regulations, a pre-booking pass is now required to go on land at Blue Lagoon. This does not apply if you stay on the boat, so you can enjoy the full experience hassle-free.

8

Tucked away on Comino’s northern coast, San Niklaw Bay is a serene and lesser-known spot perfect for those seeking a peaceful retreat. The bay boasts crystal-clear waters and a tranquil atmosphere, making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the boat. Surrounded by rugged cliffs and lush Mediterranean vegetation, the bay offers a picturesque setting away from the more crowded areas of Comino. Accessible only by boat or via a scenic walking trail, San Niklaw Bay provides an intimate experience with nature, allowing visitors to unwind and soak in the island's unspoiled beauty.

9

Tucked away on Comino’s northern coast, Santa Marija Bay offers a serene escape from the bustling Blue Lagoon. This secluded bay features crystal-clear turquoise waters and a soft sandy beach, making it an ideal spot for swimming, snorkeling, or simply relaxing on the boat. The calm and shallow waters are particularly suitable for families and those seeking a peaceful retreat.

The bay is also home to the historic Santa Marija Chapel, dating back to 1618, adding a touch of cultural heritage to your visit. Surrounded by natural beauty and away from the crowds, Santa Marija Bay provides a perfect setting for unwinding and soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of Comino.

10

Nestled along Comino’s rugged coastline, the Għemieri Window is a captivating natural limestone arch sculpted by centuries of wind and sea erosion. This hidden gem offers a breathtaking view and a peaceful moment during your coastal exploration.

Approaching by boat, you’ll get a clear view of the arch and the surrounding cliffs, with the turquoise waters of the Mediterranean completing the scene. It’s a perfect spot for photography and for experiencing the raw, untouched beauty of Comino from the sea.

11

Located on the northeastern coast of Comino, the Santa Maria Caves are a captivating network of sea caves renowned for their crystal-clear waters, narrow tunnels, and fascinating rock formations.

We'll enter these caves by boat, allowing you to admire their natural beauty from the best possible viewpoint — inside. Your skipper will carefully navigate through the caves, where light reflects off the water and illuminates the surrounding rock walls in magical shades of blue and green.

This peaceful part of the tour offers a chance to take in the raw, untouched beauty of Comino, far from the crowds.

12

Situated on the northeastern coast of Comino, Elephant Rock is a striking limestone formation that remarkably resembles an elephant dipping its trunk into the Mediterranean Sea. This natural arch, sculpted over millennia by wind and water erosion, stands as a testament to nature's artistry.

Perched on the remote coast of Comino, Saint Mary’s Battery is a historic 18th-century coastal fort built by the Knights of St. John. With its panoramic views of the sea and Gozo channel, it once served as a defensive lookout against pirate and Ottoman attacks. Today, it stands as a beautifully preserved stone structure offering a glimpse into Malta’s military past — a striking sight best admired from the sea during your boat tour.
