About this experience

A true petrol head's tour!
Buckle up, car lovers! This tour is a dream for anyone obsessed with horsepower and the scent of fresh interiors. After I pick you up at the location of your desire, cruise ship, hotel etc. The first stop will be the Toyota Automobile Museum, a treasure trove of mint-condition classics and modern marvels. Then, we cruise to Toyota City, birthplace of the Toyota family, to explore the Toyota Kaikan, where you can sit in, touch, and admire the latest models (no licking!). And, of course, your guide is a true car maniac—because what’s a car tour without a car-obsessed driver? We finish the tour with a stop at Autobacs, the car part specialty shop, just to nose around or buy a souvenir (macha flavored air-freshener?.) Note This tour is not possible on Mondays as the Automobile museum is closed

- Duration: 6-7 hours with a customizable itinerary
- Private tour for up to 9 participants
- Door-to-door car service in a comfortable Delica D5 or Hiace van

Detailed itinerary

1

The Toyota Automobile Museum, located in Nagakute, Aichi Prefecture, Japan, is a paradise for car enthusiasts. Unlike the Toyota Kaikan, which focuses on modern models and future tech, this museum showcases a vast collection of historic cars from around the world, not just Toyota models.

The exhibits span from the late 19th century to the present, featuring legendary automobiles from Japan, Europe, and America in mint condition. You’ll see everything from early steam-powered vehicles to iconic classics like the Toyota 2000GT, Ferrari, Porsche, and even Ford Model T. The museum beautifully illustrates the evolution of automotive design and technology.

There’s also a library, a café, and a gift shop filled with automotive memorabilia. Whether you're a die-hard petrolhead or just appreciate beautiful machines, this museum is a must-visit!

2

Lunch time, I can take you a true Nagoya restaurant or we can just stop at a convenience store and get some riceballs

3

The Toyota Kaikan Museum is Toyota’s official showroom, located in Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, Japan. It showcases Toyota’s latest models, including Toyota and Lexus vehicles, as well as cutting-edge technology and the company’s vision for the future of mobility.

Visitors can get up close with the cars—sit in them, touch them, and explore their features. The exhibit also highlights Toyota’s innovations in sustainability, AI, and robotics. The museum is often visited alongside the Toyota Factory Tour, where you can see real production lines in action.

It’s a must-visit for car enthusiasts, especially those interested in Toyota’s engineering and design philosophy.

4

A short time to nose around in one of Japan's many car specialty stores. Maybe buy a Japanese air freshener as souvenir or something for your Japanese car back home.
