About this experience

Step aboard Tomos, our exclusive time machine, and embark on a journey guided by our expert locals. Discover the rich history and hidden gems of stunning Split in this unforgettable Cro adventure!

There is no family in Split and Dalmatia that didn’t possess a Tomos motorcycle in the eighties. They were used by the young and the old, but especially by postmen that were recognizable by the yellow color of the vehicle and the sound of the Tomos engines heard from afar, which in Split were called Koze (Goats).

Don’t be afraid, we won’t turn you into shepherds of the streets of Split in the eighties, but we will take you to the most beautiful locations in Split on Tomos.

All of our tours are small group tours, eight people max. on a small group tour. In only two hours, you will have pleasure to visit all the attractions that Split has to offer: Poljud Stadium, Park Mladeži, Marjan hill, Meštrović G., Marjan tunnel, Zvončac, West Coast, Diocletian’s palace, Promenade, Ferry port, Bačvice.

The permanent collection includes works of sculpture, drawings, design, furniture and architecture. Holdings include original plaster models by the artist, as well as finished works in bronze, marble and wood. The gallery building and grounds were based on original plans by Meštrović himself, and included living and working areas, as well as exhibition spaces.

The Diocletian Palace Substructures represent one of the best preserved ancient complexes of their kind in the world, and hence are in many ways responsible for the reason the historical core of Split was in 1979 included on the UNESCO'S World Heritage list.

In the Roman times, their function was to elevate the Emperor's chambers on the floor above, but they were also the storage area for the Palace. Being structurally a faithful replica of the chambers above, they enable a faithful reconstruction of the way the Emperor's chambers looked like.

8

Prokurative or as they are officially called, Republic Square resemble the Venice St. Marks Square. They are located west of the Riva and they were named after the arches found on the neo-Renaissance buildings surrounding the square on three sides. Most people to this day know it by that name. The square is only open on the south side, providing a beautiful view of the harbour and the Riva (waterfront)
