Ano Mera in Mykonos is the second bigger village after Chora (main town) and is one of the oldest villages of the island. It is a quiet village where locals continue their everyday life without being interrupted by a crowd of tourists as it happens in the capital.Near Ano Mera lies the monastery of Panagia Tourliani whose main church houses a superb collection of icons made by a Cretan painter as well as holy vessels and vestments. The beautiful bell tower and marble fountain lie in the courtyard and are worth seeing.
Ano Mera also hosts some taverns along its main square, where you can taste traditional dishes at a normal cost. Cafes and pastry shops also lie around the square.

The construction of Monastery was established in 1542 by two priests and named after the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary.The building's architecture is quite impressive, with a whitewashed exterior and a colored dome. A beautiful marble fountain lies in the yard outside the church. In the interior, one encounters an impressive wooden iconostasis (altar screen) made in 1775 by Florentine artists.

Divounia, which some locals call "Venus's Breasts" - they look like breasts. It's an area that it used to be. a small fishing settlement, the closest thing Mykonos has to a fishing village!
In the mornings, regardless of the time of the year, one can achieve there many authentic fishing images, which are rarely seen in places like Mykonos and which may not even be imagined to exist in Mykonos.
