Detailed itinerary

1

Pyin Oo Lwin's National Kandawgyi Gardens is the only botanical garden in Myanmar. It houses a big collection of different flowers and plants. As for its beauty, it is a popular spot for locals who come for recreation. Also, there are three museums: Fossils Museum, Petrified Wood Museum, and Butterfly Museum.

2

The building of the Maha Ant Htoo Kan Thar pagoda has a history of its own. Originally, three marble Buddha images, sculpted in Mandalay, were transferred to their planned destination in China. On this journey, one of the Buddha statues fell from the lorry and could not be reloaded due to its weight. After many attempts, this image was finally left behind. Here, a pagoda was built for the travelers to pay homage.

3

The Pyeik Chin Myaung cave is located about 12 km outside the city. The cave extends over 500 meters into a mountain and is nicely decorated with small shrines, Buddha statues, and altars. The vaults are repeatedly broken by small rivers that bubble out of underground springs here and make their way outside.

4

The Goteik Viaduct is one of myanmars most impressive marvels - a railway bridge 100 meters high above the ground.
It is a three-hour train journey from the former British Hill Station of Pyin Oo Lwin to Naung Pein village. The train crosses the Goteik Viaduct in walking speed, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the amazing view down the valley.
