We will pass through Sarasota Bay while looking for dolphins in the Intercostal waterway. You can take in the beautiful and detailed architecture of Ringling Mansion, while captain Jim shares historical facts about the area and the history of the Ringling family in Sarasota. We can then cruise along to view the Powel Crosley Estate from the water.
After viewing all the historical mansion on the bay, we will cruise to New Pass Sandbar, which is perfect spot to see lots of fish, dolphins and manatees. In the spring and summer, when the manatees come out from the rivers, there is a good chance you will get up close for a manatee encounter! As we board the boat and continue along, we can stop by New Pass Grill and Bait Shop if you need some protective sun gear or a sandwich.
Big Pass Sandbar just off Lido Beach, is a very popular stop on our charters. This is a relaxing and enjoyable location for your party to enjoy using the water mat, soak up the sun and look for shells.
As we cruise South on intercostal we will get the opportunity to pass by Bird Island a sanctuary, where you will get to view and photograph the colorful Spoonbills, White Ibis, Gray & White Pelican as well as many other bird species.
As we venture on to the Historic Spanish Point, where we can make a quick stop and get a beverage at Evie's at Spanish Point. You will have the opportunity to view the from the water the Historic Spanish Point which is a 33 acre archaeological, historical, and environmental museum park located on Little Sarasota Bay.
Turtle Beach is the perfect quiet spot to explore around in the mangroves, look for crabs or go on the beach to find some truly unique shells.
We will pass through the unique Blackburn Point Bridge also know as the Casey Key Swing Bridge to locals. If you are looking to enjoy some delicious food on the water, we can make an extended stop at Casey Key Fish & Tiki Bar.
As we wrap up a fabulous day of wildlife viewing, shelling, snorkeling, and playing at the sandbar. We invite you to relax in one of the comfortable loungers on the boat and enjoy a cold beverage as we tour past the Coastal waterfront homes. We will then return to the original pickup location.
When you come down Ken Thompson Park Way, come past the entrance to Mote Marine, and the boat ramp entrance will be on your right. Please meet the captain by the boat ramp docks in a blue and tan Bennington pontoon boat.
