Located on the northeastern coast of Mykonos, Merchia Beach offers visitors a quiter and more secluded beach experience compared to the beaches on the southern coast. Agios Nikolaos charming little church adds a touch to the scenic beauty.

We arrive at Ano Mera Village one of the oldest settlements on the island. The centerpiece of the village is the Monastery of Panagia Tourliani with its 16th century origins, the marble bell tower and cycladic archtiecture. Stroll at the square, see local shops with traditional crafts and handmade jewelry and souvenirs.

The monastery of Panagia Tourliani in Mykonos is situated in Ano Mera village. Established in 1542 after the Presentation of Virgin Mary.

In 1767 it was restored and named after the Virgin Mary icon that appeared and was found in Tourlos of Mykonos.

The building's architecture is with an whitewashed exterior and a colored dome. A beautiful marble fountain and bell tower in the courtyard of the church .
