Detailed itinerary

We will start from Argegno, a small village in the middle of the first basin of Lake Como, famous for being the film set for the films Murder Mystery and Mr and Mrs Smith. and we will head north.

We will then reach the Comacina island, the only island on Lake Como. For those who wish, between the island and the eastern coast of the lake there is a bathing canal where you can swim in complete safety. The island is famous for the fireworks which commemorate the ancient fire of 24 June 1169.

We will be able to admire the medieval bell tower, perhaps the most characteristic of the whole lake, with its unmistakable shape.

We will then reach Villa del Balbiano, an architectural complex of rare beauty. Also known for being the set of the film House of Gucci, Villa La Cassinella, set of the TV series Succession.

Stop 5

We will then reach the beautiful Villa Balbianello, historical museum and set of the films Star Wars episode 2, and 007 Casino Royale. Famous for its gardens, which can be visited by booking on the villa's website

Once past the villas we will be able to admire the Gulf of Lenno, also called the Gulf of Venus

We will then reach Tremezzo, where we will be able to admire not only the most renowned hotels on Lake Como but also Villa Carlotta, which can be visited on request. Entrance to the villa requires a ticket and reservations are recommended.

We will then reach Menaggio, with a truly impressive and evocative long lake, very popular during summer evenings.

We will cross the lake in the direction of Bellagio

We will just touch Bellagio and admire the Spartivento tip, the point of the lake that divides the two branches.

We will head towards Varenna, the village of lovers. Wonderful village nestled in the lake.

We will then see Villa Monastero, an evocative 16th century architectural complex, which was once a convent for Cistercian nuns. Today it is one of the main tourist attractions, with its house museum and botanical gardens which host many plant species. It is possible to visit the gardens by booking in advance on the villa's website

We will be able to admire Villa Cipressi, testimony to the late Renaissance period. With its terraces sloping down towards the lake, it offers the perfect location to admire the view.

We will then return to Bellagio to deepen our visit and admire the village, famous throughout the world.

Stop 15

Going south on the eastern shore of the lake after the visit to Bellagio we will come across Villa Melzi, a characteristic botanical garden with villa, statues and paths along the lake.

We will then pass by the village of Lezzano, a fishing village and builders of racing boats who won the world championship in powerboat racing in the 1950s

We will then reach the Nesso ravine, famous for the 2000 year old Roman bridge.
