At the agreed time, your guide and driver will meet you on time at your location. We will cross Chang'an Street to Tiananmen Square. In the square we can see the Monument to the People's Heroes, the Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, and on both sides of the square are the National Museum and the Great Hall of the People. Tiananmen Square covers an area of 44 hectares and is the largest square in the world.
It takes ten minutes to walk from Tiananmen Square to the Forbidden City. The Forbidden City, also known as the imperial museum, was built in 1420, covering an area of 720,000 square meters. It has more than 70 large and small palaces and more than 9,000 houses. As the largest and most complete palace-like building in the world, the Forbidden City was the residence of 24 emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties. In October 1925, the Palace Museum was officially established and opened to the public, becoming a world cultural heritage site.
We can stroll through the Hall of Supreme Harmony, the highest room of the imperial family. You can see the entire square of the Hall of Supreme Harmony, which is the place where the emperor went to court and his troops paraded, and you can take photos here.
Here you can see the Imperial Garden of the Forbidden City. The Imperial Garden was originally built for consorts to rest and entertain themselves, but it was also used for worship and reading.
Shenwu Gate is the northern gate of the Forbidden City and the exit. Leaving here, let's first try Beijing food. Then we will go to the Great Wall, which is 60KM and takes about 2 hours.
After visiting the Forbidden City, it's time for lunch and we will take you to taste the most authentic Chinese food. After lunch, let's travel to Mutianyu Great Wall, which takes 1.5 hours on the way. When we reach the Great Wall, we will take the cable car to the Great Wall. You can stay here for 2 hours to see the Great Wall of China-- one of the seven wonders of the world. After the visit, we can take the cable car or Tobogan down, and the tour guide and driver will return you to the designated place.
