We will visit the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center to see and learn about the amazing wild animals in the care of this non-profit animal sanctuary. Caring for injured & orphaned wildlife, and working on animal restoration, this amazing program is dedicated to education, conservation, and research regarding Alaska's wildlife. We will guide you through the first half, and then you will have some free time to walk around on your own for the second half of the visit.
We drive through some amazing scenery within Chugach State Park and Chugach National Forest. Dramatic mountain landscapes, glaciers, & ocean views! Depending on time and weather, we will make a scenic photo stop here.
Please meet 15 minutes prior to departure time at the Dena'ina Convention Center on the 7th Avenue curb between F & G Streets. There are NO public restrooms at this location; please ensure you use the bathroom before meeting for the tour as the first rest stop will be over an hour away.
