At London Adventures, we are not just about tours. We are about crafting unforgettable experiences that ignite your curiosity and leave you with lasting memories. We want you to uncover interesting facts and stories of Greenwich with a touch of humour. We share tales of the royal past in Greenwich including how the royal family used to travel to the palace where the Old Royal Naval College now stood. If you are a foodie craving a taste of our classic British food and drink, we have something for everyone including local beer, ale, cider or English apple juice.
We invites you to join us and embrace the spirit of exploration.
Our experienced guide will walk you through the past and present of the Old Royal Naval College. The college ground was once where Placentia Palace stood, where King Henry VIII, Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Mary were born. Parts of the artefacts and flooring remain buried between the towers in the college. The beautiful Greenwich Park was once the palace's garden.
We will stop by the Royal Chapel which was rebuilt in 1779 after a fire. With its richly decorated ceiling, naval themes, and exceptional altarpiece painted by ‘the Raphael of America’, Benjamin West, it is evident why the Chapel is now regarded as one of the finest neo-classical interiors in existence.
Don't miss the royal entrance when the members of the royal family used to visit the palace by boat.
