About this experience

Join me for one to two hours of travel storytelling in the charming waterfront Dalhousie Yacht Club. We'll have a few pints (guests 19+) and some lunch (not included in the tour price) and swap stories. Before lunch, we will walk the Port Dalhousie Pier to get photos at the beautiful lighthouse. Come get a peak of this secretive corner of Lake Ontario away from the crowded tourist areas of Port Dalhousie.

This experience is about traveling the world through stories and photos, and will be particularly interesting for people who sail (or who want to sail). You'll learn about local and international maritime culture from an experience world sailor.

If you're interested in sailing or sailboats, train travel, backpacking, solo travel, affordable travel, and/or dramatic life changes (like quitting the bank to live my dream), this is the experience for you!

Storytelling about two and a half years of travel by sails and rails.

Detailed itinerary

Walk the beautiful long pier in Port and appreciate the traditional lighthouse on site.

Stop 2

After our walk on the pier and visit to the lighthouse, we'll sit down for lunch, beers, and storytelling at the beautiful Dalhousie Yacht Club. DYC is a friendly club, the food is excellent and affordable, and the view of the lake is unbeatable.

You'll be meeting me at the Dalhousie Yacht Club. I can find you outside the main doors or by the water. Enjoy the view if you arrive early!
