About this experience

A face-to-face experience with amazing birds: colors, behaviors, and information.

This tour is designed for a fun new and different activity in Monteverde.
1 hour of learning about the incredible hummingbirds.
Unique to Monteverde, the famous and renowned Hummingbird Gallery at the entrance of the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve is often visited; however, these are quick visits after 2-3 hour natural history tours without a dedicated focus on learning about these beautiful creatures. On this tour, we will spend about an hour observing behaviors, taking photos and videos, and learning interesting information about these beautiful birds found only in the Americas. This tour was designed and is led by Diego Rodríguez, a renowned birdwatching guide in Costa Rica and an internationally certified researcher.
