From outside the church you can see a beautiful panorama of the Valdobbiadene DOCG hills. Near the church, you will find the bronze statue of St. Maximilian Kolbe, a martyr who died in Auschwitz during the Second World War. It is a good starting point for walks, in particular there is a path that leads to the small church of S.
Alberto.
The history of Valdobbiadene is intrinsically linked to that of its wine. According to historical sources, the first vines in this area were planted by the Romans, who appreciated them
a lot of native vines. But it was in the Middle Ages that Valdobbiadene wine began to gain popularity thanks to the Benedictine monks who, with their love for agriculture, significantly improved the cultivation of vines. Today, Prosecco Superiore DOCG represents
the oenological excellence of Valdobbiadene.
The meeting and starting point of the experience is the Adami Winery in Sorapiana in Via Soprapiana 36, 31020 Vidor (TV) Italy.
