We’ll meet at Valladolid’s main square before setting off to Ek Balam, one of Yucatán’s hidden archaeological gems.
Walk through this majestic Mayan city and climb the Acropolis, where the tomb of King Ukit Kan Le’k Tok’ was discovered—surrounded by over 7,000 ceremonial artifacts. Every step reveals a story of power, legacy, and ancient brilliance.
Next, we’ll visit the dreamlike Hubiku Cenote, a cave crowned by a skylight where sunlight dances across its 27-meter-deep crystal waters. Take a dip and feel the sacred energy once revered by the Maya.
After the swim, enjoy a delicious buffet lunch filled with local flavors—just what you need to recharge.
We’ll return to Valladolid after 6.5 unforgettable hours of culture, nature, and awe.
This fabulous excursion begins early in the morning in the historic center of Valladolid, where we will meet at 7:45 AM for check-in and then depart at approximately 8:00 AM in our luxury panoramic vans headed to Ek Balam.
We’ll head north to the mystical ruins of Ek Balam, a lesser-known yet powerful ancient Mayan city. Once there, you’ll explore its temples, ball courts, and climb the impressive Acropolis, one of the tallest structures in the region.
Inside the Acropolis lies the tomb of King Ukit Kan Le’k Tok’, surrounded by a stunning offering of over 7,000 artifacts—including ceramics, conch, coral, and gold alloy. His resting place reveals the incredible power and reverence this ruler once held.
As you walk through the site, every stone tells a story—of kings, rituals, and a civilization that shaped history.
After immersing ourselves in Yucatán’s ancient history, we’ll head to the magical Hubiku Cenote—a natural underground sanctuary. As sunlight filters through a skylight above, it dances across the crystal-clear waters, creating a truly dreamlike scene.
Take a refreshing swim in this 27-meter-deep sacred pool, once used by the Maya for spiritual rituals. Floating in its cool waters, you’ll feel part of something timeless and extraordinary.
Hungry after your swim? We’ll treat you to a delicious buffet-style lunch at a local restaurant—perfect to recharge and savor authentic Yucatecan flavors.
