Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

The tour begins with an audio-guided visit of the Colosseum, where you’ll explore the ancient arena at your own pace while learning its most fascinating stories and hidden details.

2
Stop 2

After your audio-guided visit to the Colosseum, meet your driver at Piazza di San Clemente, right in front of the Basilica, to begin your Golf Cart tour.

3
Stop 3 Pass by

"Just passing the Baths of Caracalla. The towering ancient walls rise like silent giants, their weathered stones still holding the warmth of centuries gone by. You can almost imagine the echoes of thousands of Romans who once walked these vast halls, the steam, the voices, the life. Even now, the air seems to carry faint traces of their presence, whispering stories of a world that time has never truly erased."

4
Stop 4 Pass by

Now, our golf cart gently takes us up the Aventine Hill, one of Rome's seven hills known for its peaceful and elegant atmosphere. As we ascend, notice the quieter, more residential feel compared to the bustling city below. Historically, this hill has a distinct character, once associated with the plebeians. Watch for the beautiful villas, serene gardens, and churches. Enjoy the tranquil ambiance and the glimpses of Rome unfolding as we make our way up.

5
Stop 5 Pass by

"Passing by the Aurelian Walls and Porta San Sebastiano, you’re struck by their quiet power. The ancient bricks rise high above the road, still standing firm after nearly two millennia. Porta San Sebastiano, with its imposing towers and arches, feels like a threshold between past and present. It’s easy to picture soldiers, merchants, and pilgrims moving through this gateway, each carrying their own story. Even now, the walls seem to murmur fragments of history to anyone who takes a moment to listen."

6
Stop 6

"Now the road leads to the Catacombs of San Callisto. As you approach, the atmosphere shifts—quieter, cooler, almost suspended in time. Beneath the peaceful surface of the Appian Way lies a vast underground world where early Christians carved out miles of passages, chapels, and resting places. Standing at the entrance, you feel the weight of history descending with you: centuries of faith, hope, and hidden stories waiting in the dimly lit corridors. The visit begins where silence speaks louder than words."

7

"On the way back, the route leads through the Appia Antica Park. Here the city seems to fade away, replaced by open fields, ancient stones, and the calm rhythm of nature. The old basalt blocks of the Appian Way lie beneath you, worn smooth by centuries of footsteps, carts, and history. As you pass through the park, ruins, tombs, and cypress trees appear like quiet guardians of the past, reminding you why this road was once called the Regina Viarum — the Queen of Roads."

8
Stop 8

Cruising along now, we pass the vast open space that was once the Circus Maximus. Imagine this area filled with roaring crowds and thrilling chariot races! Dating back to the 6th century BC, this ancient stadium could hold hundreds of thousands of spectators, making it the largest in the Roman world. Though now a public park, you can still get a sense of its immense scale and historical significance as we drive by this legendary site of Roman entertainment.

9

Our golf cart now brings us to the beautiful Orange Garden, or Giardino degli Aranci. This peaceful park, located on the Aventine Hill, offers breathtaking panoramic views of Rome. As we arrive, you'll be surrounded by fragrant orange trees, giving the garden its delightful name. Take a moment to soak in the stunning vistas of the city skyline, including St. Peter's Basilica and the Tiber River. It's a perfect spot for a relaxing pause and memorable photos with a spectacular backdrop.

10
Stop 10

"Take a look at the Theatre of Marcellus. You can still see the two surviving levels of its facade, which originally had three. The lower level featured Doric columns, and the upper Ionic, a typical Roman architectural style. Its construction was a significant project for Augustus, dedicated to his nephew Marcellus, highlighting the emperor's patronage of public works and his family's prominence."

11

"Passing by the Arch of Janus, dating back to the 4th century AD. Its exact purpose is still debated by historians, adding to its mysterious charm. Some believe it was related to commerce or served as a covered marketplace

12
Stop 12 Pass by

Your Golf Cart will then pass in front of the Theatre of Marcellus, allowing you to admire its iconic arches and the blend of ancient Rome and medieval architecture.

13

You will then continue toward Piazza Venezia, where you can take in the impressive view of the Vittoriano and the surrounding historic buildings.

14
Stop 14 Pass by

The tour ends back at the Colosseum, where your driver will drop you off at the conclusion of your experience.
