About this experience

Kamakura is the home of the first Samurai Government so its history goes back 800 years.

We will meet up at Kamakura station and transit by car.

We will first see a panoramic view of Enoshima/Mount Fuji and take a quick stroll near where the basketball anime SLAM DUNK was staged. (Tokyo/Shinjuku starter only)

We will visit the TEMPLES BUILT INSIDE CAVES and see a shrine with beautiful ROWS OF RED TORII gates.

We will proceed to see the GREAT BUDDHA and visit the flower Temple HASEDERA SHRINE housing the massive WOODEN STATUE of the Kannon.

A veggie LUNCH reserved for MONKS will be appreciated here FOR YOUR LUNCH.

We will pass thru KENCHOJI temple and see the oldest ZEN temple in Kamakura, pay tribute to TSURUOKA HACHIMAN, a shrine dedicated to the Minamoto clan & the samurai spirit.
