About this experience

After picking you up from Cruiseport or the hotel we will drive you a 1 hour 45 min. to Ephesus without any shopping stops.
Visiting the Famous Ephesus, Artemis temple, Celcus library, and Artemis Temple Meet you at your hotel or ship and drive to Ephesus. Following this we will make our way to Ephesus which was one of the most important cultural centers of the ancient world. We will visit the Ephesus ruins, Odeon, Celcus Library, and the Theatre which is still in use today for concerts and has an amazing capacity of 25, 000. As we walk through this ancient site you will notice the streets paved with marble which gives a hint to this city's great wealth many years ago. After the lunch break, we ll stop at the Artemis temple. On request he next stop is a visit to a local ceramics workshop, where you will get to watch a presentation on the process, then see Turkish tiles take shape.

We will visit the Ephesus ruins, Odeon, Celcus Library, and the Theatre which is still in use today for concerts and has an amazing capacity of 25, 000. As we walk through this ancient site you will notice the streets paved with marble which gives a hint to this city's great wealth many years ago. After the lunch break, we ll stop at the Artemis temple. And last at not least a quick stop at the Zeus Temple of Euromos which hardly anyone visits- it's one of the most original temples standing.

The Temple of Artemis at Ephesus was located on the western coast of Asia Minor (modern Turkey) and was built in the 6th century BCE. Such was its tremendous size, double the dimensions of other Greek temples including the Parthenon, that it was soon regarded as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
