About this experience

Kyodo Station in Setagaya Ward is a 15-minute train ride from both Shinjuku and Shibuya.
It is a quiet town with Shimokitazawa for old clothes and Gotokuji Temple for beckoning cats along the line.

At a public space called Kyodo District Hall, you can experience the Japanese culture of “shodo” (calligraphy) by rubbing ink and posture.

Try writing your favorite character or kanji, or your own name with kanji characters.

A master calligrapher teaches about 80 students from children to adults,
