About this experience

In this 4 hour private tour you will visit some of the oldest traditional markets of the capital, taste typical salty and sweet Greek delicacieslike the loukoumas and the cheese pie, explore all kinds of herbs and spices and the worldwide famous Greek olives, olive oil and, obviously, the souvlaki. Begins the 4 hour walking culinary journey through the tastes and smells of Greece.

Taste the traditional sweets and finger-food like the koulouri (a circular bread, typically encrusted with sesame seeds) and the famous bougatsa (which is probably the most beloved Greek breakfast pastry, consisting of either semolina custard, cheese or even minced meat filling between layers of phyllo).

The colorful Athens Agora (also referred to as the Varvakios Market), the highlight of the vibrant Athinás market district. An extraordinary sensory and gastronomic delight, the market offers an amazing range of spices, cheeses, olives and deli treats. The most impressive part of it being the historic meat, fish and fruit market, offering an incredible variety of fresh products from all over Greece and the world.
