About this experience

The arboretum is a huge green space that looks and feels like a dense forest, occasionally full of open spaces. It was founded by Mr. Batiscombe in 1907 and is now overseen by the Kenyan Ministry of Forestry. Enjoy walking in the vast of the forest as you encounter different types of trees and bird species. Also have a chance to learn that the museum aims to interpret Kenya's rich heritage and offers a one stop for visitors to sample the country's rich heritage both for education and leisure. In addition to the Museum, visitors are treated to a variety of shopping and dining facilities, as well as botanical gardens that offer a serene environment.

Start with a pickup at your hotel at 8:00 am. Be driven at Nairobi Arboretum first. After the arrival, enjoy a walking trail in the forest as you see over 350 species of the indigenous and the exotic plants, most of which are labelled, it is also known as a home to over 100 species of bird species have been recorded. Also picnic inside the park as you watch the beautiful butterfly. Later have a time to rest to refresh and also having snacks (optional)..

Later you will exit Arboretum as you head to Museum is the flagship brand for the National Museums of Kenya. The museum showcases Kenya's rich Heritage with four distinct themes representing Kenya's Culture, Nature, History and Contemporary Art. Other attractions within the compound include the Snake Park and Botanical Gardens as well as a State of the Art Auditorium that hosts concerts, film shows and other events. Around 1:00 pm you will be taken to a local restaurant for lunch(optional) and later you will be dropped off at your hotel.
