About this experience

The Ol Pejeta Conservancy works to conserve wildlife, provide a sanctuary for great apes, and generate income through wildlife tourism and complementary enterprises for re-investment in conservation and community development. Ol Pejeta is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, and home to two of the world's last remaining northern white rhinos. It is the only place in Kenya to see chimpanzees, in a sanctuary established to rehabilitate animals rescued from the black market. You will encounter that it is the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa and home to the Big 5 and other great variety of wildlife which all makes for some spectacular game drive. Also is a home to the last two remaining northern white rhinos in the world. And that will make your tour memorable.

Detailed itinerary

Depart Nairobi at 6am and then drive to Nanyuki town at 9.30am. Here you will have a stop over at the equator crossing. This is an imaginary line that divides the earth into 2 hemispheres. There is a big sign where you will be able to take a photo saying you are now crossing the equator for 30 minutes. From there you will proceed to Olpajeta . Start of first game drive that will take you to see the chimpanzee and more wild animals on the northern side of the vast conservancy. Arrive at Serena sweet waters lodge by 12 pm. Here you will have a look at the animals coming to the watering hole in front of the lodge to drink water while you enjoy taking photos of the resident monkeys at the lodge. Enjoy lunch{OPTIONAL}. Later you will drive to the eastern side of the park where you will be able to visit a blind rhino called Baraka and also be able to see the three Northern white rhinos freely roaming in their vast enclosure. Later start to drive back to Nairobi for drop off.
