The Alte Börse was originally built between 1678 and 1687 as Leipzig's first dedicated stock exchange.
The Old Town Hall built at the 16th century served as the seat of the city council and the center of municipal administration for over 400 years.
St. Thomas Church was founded in 1212, making it over 800 years old. St. Thomas Church is perhaps most famous as the workplace of Johann Sebastian Bach.
The New Town Hall was constructed between 1899 and 1905 on the site of the former Pleissenburg, a medieval castle.
