Stop 1

The Isartor is the historic city gate in Munich. Built in 1337, the Isartor was named after its proximity to the Isar River, which flows through Munich.

The Asam Church is a small but highly significant church in baroque style in Munich. It was built between 1733 and 1746 by the Asam brothers.

Marienplatz has been the central square of Munich since its foundation by Henry the Lion in 1158. It was originally used as a marketplace and a venue for public events, including tournaments and executions.
