We dive into Arctic forest and ski through some beautiful locations to experience and photograph the Northern Lights and surrounding nature in night time. The forest presents a whole different side of natural beauty in the dark of the night. We use specialist skis that can take us through the deep snow and untouched terrain of Lapland. Using only headlamps, we get enough light to ski through the forest and to reach the spots in the middle of the nocturnal nature.
The adventure starts from our office where we equip the team with proper gear and clothing. Then we will drive to our location in the forest and get ready to enter the woods. Once we leave the minivan, we make an equipment check and set all the cameras to be ready for night photography.
Northern Lights are always unpredictable and there is no guarantee that they will appear during the tour. Our main focus during the night is in exploring and experiencing nature locations which are reachable only with backcountry skis.
