Start your day by meeting your photography instructor/guide and discussing your goals for the workshop. Whether you're just starting out or have years of experience, the day will be customized to match your interests and skill level.
Your photography journey begins as you visit hand-picked locations, carefully chosen to align with optimal light and time of day. Your guide will provide insights on everything from composition and framing to camera settings and advanced techniques to enhance your skills in capturing Yosemite’s awe-inspiring landscapes. You’ll also explore more secluded areas of the park, offering unique perspectives of Yosemite’s beauty away from the crowds.
The day concludes with a sunset photography session, where you'll capture the stunning colors that wash over Yosemite's iconic peaks as the sun sets. Throughout the experience, your guide will offer expert advice and hands-on assistance, ensuring you walk away with photos that reflect the grandeur of Yosemite.
We schedule two sessions on the day of the workshop: a morning session that begins with meeting half an hour before sunrise and an afternoon/evening session that runs from mid-afternoon to after sunset. Each session lasts three to four hours. Participants are welcome to join both sessions or choose to participate in just the morning or evening session based on their preferences.
The workshop begins as you head to carefully selected locations, chosen based on the time of day and light conditions. Your guide will offer expert tips, from choosing the right angles, framing, adjusting your camera settings, and other invaluable photography tips tailored to help you capture Yosemite’s grandeur. Throughout the day, you'll venture to lesser-known spots, allowing you to photograph more secluded, intimate views of the park’s natural beauty. The experience culminates with sunset photography, capturing the magical hues of Yosemite’s peaks as the sun fades.
The meeting point will vary depending on the time of year. We’ll contact you with the details after you’ve booked.
