It is a town within Gamcheon-dong, Saha District, Busan, South Korea. Built on a steep mountain-side slope, the village has been nicknamed "Korea's Santorini" and the "Machu Picchu of Busan.

This is one of the top tourist spots in Busan and it’s worth the trip it takes to get out there. Even nowadays visitors can see women selling mackerel, sea squirts (ascidians) and other seafoods on wooden boxes along the road outside of the market and along the shore.
