About this experience

Want to visit a second country during your stay in Ohrid? Join our day excursion ‘City Trip Tirana’ and discover the capital of neighboring country Albania. This vibrant and bustling city blends modernity in combination with history. Tirana feels like a city in the middle of a lively transformation, with a youthful energy, a mix of old and new, and a rich cultural identity.

Upon arrival, the local guide will welcome you at the famous Mother Teresa square. From here on, the tour will make its way to the Skenderbeg Square. While walking, various landmarks will be visited, like the bunk’ art, the residence of former leader Enver Hoxha, the pyramid of Tirana, the cloud, the Justinian's castle, the local bazar, presidential palace and many more.
After the guided tour ends, you will have plenty of free time to discover the city at your own phase. Visit a museum, have a lunch or make beautiful pictures. Feel free to do whatever you desire. At the end the tour will go back to Ohrid.

When entering the capital city Tirana. The accompanist of the tour will meet our local guide. The tour with a walk in the park. The memorial park of Tirana is known for it's greenery and history. The tour will pass by the landmarks memorial cemetery and the holocaust monument.

Stop 2

While walking towards the pyramid of Tirana, the tour will also visit the residence of the former communistic leader Enver Hozha. Our local guide will provide intriguing stories about a normal day under communistic rule, the residence of Enver Hoxha and the pyramid.

Stop 3

Walking towards the famous Skanderbeg Square, many highligst will be visited, such as the Saint Paul Cathedral, the marketplace, the cloud, Bunk'art 2, Et Hem Bej Mosque, the Historical Museum of Tirana and many more. From here on the free time starts.
