The "Grotta dello Smeraldo" is located near Amalfi and takes its name from the color of the water. The water of the Emerald Grotto is actually absolutely transparent but takes on this particular emerald color thanks to the sunlight that enters the cave. Light enters through a tunnel under the cave and under water. The tunnel connects the cave to the sea.
