Chueca, located in central Madrid, is a vibrant and diverse neighborhood known for its lively atmosphere, LGBTQ+ community, trendy bars, cafes and boutiques. Its narrow streets are adorned with colorful facades, and it hosts cultural events, including the annual Pride celebrations, making it a hub of inclusivity and excitement. Visit 4 tapas bars and restaurants (including one market) with 7+ tapas and 4 drinks included. In addition to learning about Spanish food and wine, we'll also cover some of the neighborhood's LGBT+ history. Detailed itinerary

Start the tour by meeting your local gay guide at Plaza Chueca where you'll learn a bit of the neighborhood's history. Then you'll walk a short distance to the first tapas bar for a drink and a bite.

Enjoy a drink and a tasty tapa or two at this first local bar. Your guide will explain each item as you enjoy them.

Enjoy a drink and a tapa at this second, smaller local bar on Calle Pelayo, a street with several bars, restaurants, and shops. The street is also known for the infamous High Heel Race during Madrid's annual Gay Pride.

Leave the restaurants and bars behind as you enter a neighborhood market for this fourth stop. This is where locals go for everyday groceries as well as gourmet items, or simply to eat and drink at the various food stalls.

Order a last round of tapa dishes and another drink at this final stop. The restaurant serves Galician cuisine from Spain's northwest region known for it's incredible seafood and white wine.

Meet your local guide directly outside the Chueca metro stop on the left side as if you were exiting the metro (next to the big advertisement sign). Your guide will be carrying a bright green tote bag.

Note: The guide will wait for guests for up to 15 minutes for group tours and 30 minutes for a private tour. After that, no-shows and late arrivals after a tour has departed are nonrefundable.
