The dhow sails along the Nungwi Beach coastline, a lively area with traditional fishing dhows and clear waters. Guests may spot wild dolphins along this scenic route.
Arrive at Mnemba Atoll, Zanzibar’s top protected marine reserve, for snorkeling among vibrant coral reefs and tropical fish. This stop is near Mnemba Island, a private island visible from the dhow. Snorkeling equipment can be rented at the departure point for $12 per person.
The dhow anchors in calm waters near Mnemba Island for a freshly cooked Swahili-style lunch on board, including mild vegetable curry, basmati rice, tropical fruit, and an open bar with beer, wine, soda, and bottled water.
Second Snorkeling Stop Near Mnemba Atoll: Guests snorkel or swim at a nearby reef area around Mnemba Atoll, home to colorful marine life, while enjoying the clear turquoise waters.
Return Sail to Kendwa Beach: The dhow sails back along the Indian Ocean and Zanzibar’s northern coastline, offering panoramic views before arriving at Kendwa Beach in the late afternoon.
