Let's put our imaginations aside and deal with the Taj Mahal as it is in reality. This tour will begin with a tour of the magnificent Taj Mahal, the first sighting on the itinerary. During the reign of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Mumtaz Mahal's mausoleum was built in memory of him in beautiful white marble in the memory of his wife.
Shah Jahan later interred him beside Mumtaz when he died. As a matter of fact, the Taj Mahal is an object of beauty by all means. It is unmatched by anything in this world in terms of the intricate designs, motifs, and arches made of marble. As part of your tour, our guide will inform you about the history of the city, as well as the Mughal Empire and their art and craftsmanship-loving Emperors.
(Note – Taj Mahal remains closed on all Fridays)

5
Stop 5

The tour follows the Taj Mahal, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Sites within Agra, to Agra Fort, another UNESCO World Heritage Site. As the capital of the empire, the Agra Fort was constructed by Mughal Emperor Akbar when Agra was the largest city in the world.
Since the Mughals were in power, the fort has been home to the royal family of the Mughals. Further, inside the fort, various complexes have been built to demonstrate the power and majesty of the Mughals.
Near each other, the Taj Mahal and the Agra Fort can be found. In addition, several places within Agra Fort provide picturesque views of the Taj Mahal, a beautiful backdrop to any photograph taken there.

6

After visiting Agra Fort, you will take a lunch break and enjoy a delicious meal at a 5-star hotel in Agra.

7
Stop 7

Once you have had a filling lunch, visit the Itimad-Ud-Daulah, also known as the Jewel Box. With its pristine white marble, architectural finesse, and captivating designs, this mausoleum has been compared to the Taj Mahal.

8
Stop 8

A driver will pick you up at the New Delhi railway station upon your arrival and transfer you back to your accommodation for a comfortable end to your journey.

9

Later, you’ll be transferred back to Agra Cantt railway station for your return journey to New Delhi. Enjoy dinner on board the train as you relax after your day exploring Agra.
