In Mount Longonot National Park, set out on the 4-mile (6.4-kilometer), round-trip hike to the edge of the crater, with the option to extend the hike an additional 1.5 miles (2.4 kilometers), walking all the way around the crater rim.
After leaving the mountain, take a break at Mount Longonot National Park headquarters, before heading to Lake Navaisha, where you can purchase lunch at the lakeside Marina Camp.
