Debrelibanos is an important Monastic center for Ethiopian Orthodox Christianity.
The Monastery is 100 km away from Addis,was founded by renowned 13 century mystic, St Teklehaimanot.
After visiting the Monastery we will stop at Jemma River,one of the tributaries of Nile
We will walk down to the 17th century Portuguese Bridge with a fabulous waterfall.
Expected to see a variety of birds and endemic mammals,Galada baboons.
leaving the gorge and driving through the Ethiopian Rural village with grass roof house and lush mountain countryside back to Addis.

the jemma valley have a nice waterfall from the Portuguese bridge in the late 15 century and one of the tributaries of Blue nile River. The Land scape during the road drive is amaizing with some stop at cliff side of the gorge. A number of gelada baboons are another seen at debrelibanos cliff

Your tour begins with morning pickup from your Addis Ababa hotel. Driving to the Rurar village for 2 hours with beautiful Landscape and arriving historic churches of Debrelibanos visit the attached museum. For 2 hours spending at the sight and visit Portuguese Bridge—a historical bridge popular for its views of the surrounding valley. Eat lunch at a restaurant with views of the Jemma River Gorge, head into the Entoto Mountains and admire views and snap some photos and enjoy free time at every stop. Tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
