Osu Kannon is a separate head temple of the Chizan school of Shingon Buddhism. The name of the temple is Kitano-san. The main deity is the Holy Kannon. The temple name is Kitanozan Shinpukuji Hoshoin. The temple is also known as one of the three major Kannon sacred sites in Japan. The temple enshrines a statue of Hotei, one of the seven gods of good fortune in Nagoya.
