About this experience

Experience a day of sightseeing around the National Treasure Inuyama Castle, one of the oldest surviving castles in Japan.
Inuyama Castle is one of only five castles in Japan currently designated as a National Treasure, and is now attracting attention not only from all over Japan but also from around the world.
Enjoy the spectacular view from the Tenshukaku (main keep), which only the lord of a single kingdom is allowed to view.
Eating and shopping in the castle town, which still flourishes today, is also a real highlight of this tour.
Inuyama is also home to Sanko Inari Shrine, famous for its pink ema (votive picture tablet), which is popular on social networking sites.
The shrine is said to bring blessings related to family safety, marital harmony, and marriage.
This is a highly recommended spot for those who love castles and those who love Japanese traditions and culture.

2

Inuyama Castle, one of Japan's oldest surviving castles, offers a fascinating glimpse into the nation's feudal past. Perched atop a hill overlooking the Kiso River, this National Treasure is renowned for its original wooden structure, dating back to 1537.
Visitors can explore the castle's steep staircases and historical
exhibits before reaching the top floor, where panoramic views of the surrounding landscape await.
The castle grounds are equally charming, especially during cherry blossom season, creating a picturesque setting. Nearby, the castle town features traditional shops and eateries, enhancing the historical ambiance. Inuyama Castle is a must-visit for history buffs and culture enthusiasts alike.

3

Sanko Inari Shrine, located near Inuyama Castle, is a serene and culturally rich destination that captivates visitors with its beauty and spiritual significance. Known for its striking red torii gates that form a scenic pathway, the shrine exudes a tranquil and enchanting atmosphere. A unique highlight is the shrine’s fox motifs, symbolizing messengers of the gods in Japanese mythology, which can be found throughout the grounds. The shrine is also famous for its "kawaii omikuji," or adorable fortune slips, shaped like small fox figurines. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat, a spiritual experience, or simply stunning photo opportunities, Sanko Inari Shrine is a must-visit spot in Inuyama.

4

Inuyama Castle Town is a delightful area that combines history, culture, and local flavors, making it an essential stop when visiting Inuyama. The streets are lined with traditional wooden buildings housing shops, cafes, and restaurants, offering a nostalgic atmosphere reminiscent of Japan’s Edo period. Visitors can sample local delicacies, such as gohei mochi (sweet rice skewers) or freshly made matcha sweets, while exploring the charming alleys. With its blend of cultural heritage and modern attractions, Inuyama Castle Town provides an engaging and authentic experience for travelers.

The tour will end at your hotel or at a location of your choice.
Guests staying in Kyoto will be dismissed in Kyoto.
