About this experience

Amazing aquatic adventure with Bosnian BBQ awaits at this magnificent spot. Kayaking down tranquil and serene river on this self guided tour is an unforgettable event that leaves nature lovers in awe. Enjoy wildlife sightings, especially migration of great birds Europe-Africa such as Great Heron (only in migrating season, early spring and fall).
After pick up in Mostar, embark on a 25 min drive to the Cold River kayak camp. First we shall go through the safety procedures necessary to have smooth and enjoyable experience. Bunica is slow and calm river so it is easy to paddle up and down and we shall let you explore on your own and at your own pace. Stop where you want and go when you want.
The amazing sight shall be revealed for you where whole river springs out of deep blue hole tucked in between steep cliffs. get incredible photos.
Then, descend down the river and enjoy sounds of nature. BBQ lunch awaits served at the camp.. After leisurely lunch we start heading back to Mostar.

After the scheduled pick up in Mostar our river kayak adventure starts at Cold river Camp, where we go through briefing of planned activities and safety procedures.

Bunica river is very safe and easy to paddle river. Its serene beauty leaves no one untouched and that is why we allow our guests to roam by themselves where they get to relax and move at their own pace.
After a short paddling, you arrive at the most magnificent gem of nature, the spring of the river. The whole river comes out of ground in the peaceful manner after it traveled underground for many kilometres through mountains and hills of the East Herzegovina.
This awesome spring sits at the bottom of a hill and is surrounded on three sides by stone cliffs. At one point you shall have to get out of kayaks, get a little wet in chilly water and cross the rocks. Bring a set of dry clothes. We spend some time at this magical spot just relaxing and embracing beauty .
We continue adventure by slow paddling down the river where each new curve provides gorgeous views of ancient tree line. Summer breeze will keep us cool while it dances on the leaves of willows creating most soothing sound.

After an easy and relaxing paddling down the river, you shall dock back at the Cold River Treehouse camp, pull up your kayaks on the sandy beach and enjoy delicious BBQ offerings made with produce locally grown and raised. Your lunch is served on the Sandy river beach and is consisted of grilled chicken and beef, grilled vegetables, salad , local homemade juice beverage, dessert and coffee ( vegan and vegetarian options available). After leisurely lunch we shall start heading back to Mostar where you will be dropped of at central location.
