Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the world. The construction started in the year 1996 and completed in 2007. Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque is a colossal place of worship; big enough to accommodate over 40,000 visitors. The largest mosque in the UAE and third largest in the world, the complex covers over 22,400sqm. There is a world's largest handmade carpet inside of the mosque.
