Meet your guide in the small village of Meresti (Homorodalmas, 69 km from Baile Tusnad, 87 km from Brasov) and he will drive you on forest roads to the starting point of your fascinating journey. Stroll in the breezy canyon and discover its tiny secrets and legends as you walk along the shore of the stream, passing huge tree roots, hopping from rock to rock and going through numerous wooden suspension bridges set above the stream. As you walk, learn about the canyon’s history and geographical make-up and drink in the untouched scenery. The scene looks like a fairy tale stage. In caves you can meet the biggest bat colony of Eastern Carpathians, you can discover the tiniest creatures living on the bat-guano deposits on the cave floors, and also get familiar with the hunting methods of cave spiders.
