This Marine Dune day will be the highlight of your Namibia Tour. The Catamaran Dolphin and seal cruise is very popular added with the Sandwich harbor Dune drive, is the best Namibia has to offer. Its a full day, its a lot of input to work through, but its worth it.

Detailed itinerary

The Catamaran Cruise departs at 08h30 from the Waterfront and returns about 12h00. Enroot to we will Pelicans Seals and often Dolphins. On a good day we could spot the Sunfish (Mola Mola) and even Whales (in the whaling season). Sometimes Pelicans fly really close, some land in the Catamaran, and we stop at the seal colony to view the 50000 strong seal colony from the sea.
Sammy the seal often jumps in the back of our Catamaran, and he can be photographed really close. Snacks, like Sherry, beer, coffee light finger eats and oysters are served on the Catamaran. We return to the waterfront where we are met by our Sandwichharbourtours.com guide who takes us out to Sandwich Harbor.
Time to embark and disembark the Catamaran is not included in the time (this takes about 20 minutes)
We collect you along the coast at your accommodation with a Minibus at the designated start time. Take along a wind jacket
If you are on a Cruise liner, we meet you at the Ship and walk across to the Catamaran

From the Waterfront we proceed to the Esplanade and stop at the Pink Flamingos we drop the air of our Tyres and go past the pink Salt lakes onto the windswept shore seeing many birds, seals and even Black backed Jackals on our way south to Sandwich harbor.

We drive along the beach south for 60km. We encounter many bird species, migratory and others, Flamingos, Pelicans, Avocet, Terns and many more, along the way. We enter the Namib Naukluft Park and onto the towering Dunes of Sandwich Harbor. We drive along the Lange Wand, where Sea meets Dunes, only a narrow strip of beach to travel on. Unique and amazingly beautiful. Tide time is very important. We have the most stunning Dune views. It's a rollercoaster ride up to the viewpoint and the most beautiful site unfolds at your feet. SANDWICH HARBOR. It's a bay, with Lagune. Its awesomely beautiful.
after enjoying the stunning Dune views, we head back through the dunes.
The dune drive takes us to various viewpoints, we enjoy short dune walks. It's absolutely amazing. It's awesome!
We enjoy a light lunch at some awesome spot along the route. We search for what wildlife the Desert has, along a small game drive. We head back onto the beach and the way we came to Walvis Bay.

Heading back from Sandwich Harbor to Walvis Bay takes about an hour. We travel the same rout as we came along the shore. We learn about the history of Sandwich harbor. Our Sandwichhabourtours.com guide will take care of you and always chose the safest Route. He then takes you back, after filling up and pumping the Tyres to your Cruise liner or your accommodation.

please note all Cruise Liner passengers, your tour pick up time starts an hour after you have docked. The tour will depart latest an hour and a half after the pick up time. Late comers are considered a no show
