Uzbekistan’s first international-standard, all-season mountain resort opened in 2022. The Amirsoy resort is located at an altitude of 2,494m on the northern slopes of the majestic Tien Shan mountains of Maigashkan.
Chimgan is located in the spurs of Chatkal Range on the height of 1,600 metres in the Western Tien Shan mountains, surrounding Tashkent from the East. Travelers can take the chair-lift part way up Great Chimgan, at 3300 metres the highest summit in the region, for splendid views across to the reservoir. Travelers can have the following activities optional: horse riding (5 usd), riding on a quadricycle (buggy) & cable car.
Charvak Reservoir is located in Bustonlik Dictrict in the northern part of Tashkent. The reservoir was created in 1970 by erecting a 168 m (551 ft) high stone dam (Charvak Hydropower Station) on the river Chirchiq, a short distance from the western Tian Shan mountains, which provide the main volume of water.
