Towering 70 meters above its emerald basin, the Materuni Waterfall is among the highest and most breathtaking in the region. Fed by glacial streams, its waters plunge through lush highland forest at 2,500 meters above sea level. The trail to the falls meanders through fertile slopes rich with banana, coffee, and avocado farms—locally called “shambas.” After savoring a traditional local lunch, your adventure continues to the Chemka Hot Springs. The ride—about 40 minutes—winds along a rugged road through rural landscapes.
