About this experience

Our tour will help you meet the Greek culture, the Greek history and the the Greek mentality in a day! Starting with the Acropolis hill, you will admire the most perfect of all temples in antiquity, the outcome of democracy.
Next comes a drive in the modern city to see the Temple of the king of God's, the 1896 Olympic Stadium and of course the changing of the guard and the Parliament House.
After that we will head to the Ancient Agora to get closer to the best preserved temple in Greece, the temple for Hyphaistus! You will be hungry by then so we will have a stop to enjoy an authentic Greek lunch in one of the neighborhoods close to the city centre.
Once ready our last stop will be the New Acropolis Museum, the best Museum in Greece that holds the marble statues and sculptures once standing on the Parthenon.
After the Museum we will follow our way back to the port and drop you off at your cruise terminal.

Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

Climb up the Acropolis hill to see the famous Parthenon, temple for Goddess Athens standing above the city. The Erechthion, partialy dedicated to Poseidon, the God of the Ocean and of course the monumental gateway of the Acropolis fortress.

Next stop will be the changing of the guard at the old Palace above the central square of Athens. Witness the Evzones unit of the Greek Army guarding with discipline the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Stop to take a picture of the historical Stadium where the first modern Olympics were held in 1896!

Stop 4

Of course will not miss the temple of the king of Gods, Zeus, standing as the largest temple ever built in Greece. We will drive by the imposimg columns and if you wish can even do a quick stop for a closer view.

We will drive you up to the highest hill of Athens, Lycabrttus hill, where you will enjoy an unforgettable view.

Stop 6 Pass by

Drive by the Academy of Athens, part of the first University of Greece, standing as the most beautiful neoclassical building in the country.

Visit the Ancient Agora of Athens to admire closer the best preserved temple of the Golden Age. You will walk at the same place where Socrates and Plato used to be and visit the little hidden treasure the Agora Museum.

We will visit the New Acropolis Museum, where you will see closer the sculptures of the Parthenon, the finest peices of art dated in the Golden Age.
