Stop 1

--Choosing Mt. Omuro means skipping Cactus Park & capybaras.--
At just 580 meters tall, Mt. Omuro holds the title of Japan’s shortest volcano. A 5-minute cable car ride (¥1,000 round-trip for adults; ¥500 for children) whisks you to the top, where you’ll step into a scene straight from the anime Your Name. The volcanic crater, often called a "natural bowl," offers 360-degree views of Izu Peninsula. On clear days, you might even spot majestic Mount Fuji in the distance! Walk the rim of the crater to explore unique volcanic rock formations and feel the power of nature up close. Note: If weather or maintenance stops the cable car, you’ll still admire Mt. Omuro from below before heading to the cactus park.

2

--Choosing Cactus Park & capybaras means skipping Mt. Omuro.--
Step into a world of prickly wonders at Japan’s largest cactus garden, home to thousands of rare cacti and succulents from around the globe. Wander through Mexican-themed zones bursting with colorful decor, lively music, and authentic tacos for a mini-vacation vibe. But the real stars are the park’s friendly capybaras! Feed these gentle giants their favorite veggies, learn fun facts about their habits from guides, and snap a selfie with them at the photo zone. It’s a quirky, heartwarming experience you won’t find anywhere else!

3

Hop aboard the scenic Izu Kyuko Line from Izu-Kogen Station to Izu-Inatori Station for a 25-minute journey that feels like a postcard come to life! Offering panoramic views of the Pacific coastline through large windows. The train's unique design and relaxing ambiance make it a memorable experience. Along the way, enjoy picturesque seascapes and charming coastal villages.capes and charming coastal villages.
