During our tour we will visit the pubs, taverns and inns of Edinburgh that tell the history of Scotland, we will learn about legends, stories and illustrious people who give their name to the city's emblematic pubs.

We will talk about the historical events that have marked the history of Scotland and that arose in the heat of beer and whiskey.

We will pass through the streets where famous Scots sought the warmth of a tavern or political debate, we will delve into their customs and vices.

Our tour is a journey through the stories, beliefs and customs of a dark and vibrant city.

Old town is the heart of Edinburgh, located at the foot of the city castle. We walk through its emblematic streets and alleys looking for the pubs and taverns that tell its story.

The New Town is one of the two historic centers of the city, built in the 18th and 19th centuries. Knowing their stories and customs through their pubs is knowing the lights and shadows of an exciting city.

What's not included

The tour is NOT a whiskey or beer tasting. The tour will end inside a Pub with our whiskey and beer recommendations, but none of the drinks are included.

Our trip begins at the bottom of Grassmarket, in front of the “Black Bull” Pub. You can meet us with a red umbrella 15 minutes before starting the tour.
