The Barons of Bellet, originally from Savoy and to whom the title was granted in 1777 by the king of the Sardinian States, founded the estate which gave its name to the appellation. The vineyard is located at altitude (250-300 meters) and dominates the Mediterranean azure. In the background, the last foothills of the Alps and the Var valley can be seen. Today, Château de Bellet covers 13 hectares of vines and its average yield is 25 hl/hc. The vineyard is cultivated with the greatest respect for nature and the terroir, using organic farming. Château de Bellet accompanies the biggest occasions: the Versailles Summit (1982), the European Summit in Nice (2000), that of NATO (2005). It was recently served at the wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco and Princess Charlene.
