About this experience

A relaxing day trip to the Tigre Delta is a beautiful contrast to the action of Buenos Aires. This 7 hour private experience includes transportation to & from Tigre, an hour-long boat trip through the world's 5th largest delta system (admission is included as part of the tour fee), lunch at one of Tigre's most beautiful riverside restaurants (not included in tour price), a tour of the Tigre Art Gallery (in one of Argentina's most stunning architectural masterpieces), & strolls through the extensive waterside market: The Puerto de Frutos, and the Paseo Victoria. This tour allows you to see all the main attractions of Tigre in 1 full & relaxing day trip.

This tour is run by 'To Be in Buenos Aires', owned & operated by a prairie girl from Western Canada whose Argentine journey all started years ago, so innocently, with tango...

I specialise in offering VIP, customize-able tours for travellers who want to experience first hand all the jewels of Buenos Aires & its surrounding areas.

Detailed itinerary

1

The drive from Buenos AIres to Tigre is approximately 1 hour, & includes a short stop at the scenic Costanera Norte. Here, you can enjoy the view of the 'widest river in the world', the Rio de la Plata. This allows for a fabulous perspective of where we are going - to one of its smallest tributaries - the Luján River.

2
Stop 2

Once in Tigre, we start with a 1 hour boat tour through the Tigre Delta, the 5th largest delta system in the world. Enjoy scenic views of the historic buildings of Tigre, sail alongside kayakers, & soak in the tranquility of this extensive river system.

3
Stop 3

After enjoying a delicious lunch at at one of the city's most highly rated riverside restaurants (please note that all food & drink is not included in the tour price) we make our way to the Tigre Art Gallery. This beautiful historic building is a work of art unto itself. In the 19th century it was the social club for the Buenos AIres elite, and now it houses art of some of Argentina's most emblematic artists.

4
Stop 4

The Puerto de Frutos is an extensive waterfront market, full of local artisenal crafts & goods. Whether you want to get a few local souvenirs, or just soak in some of the local Tigre vibe, this market is the place to be.

5

We take 1 last stroll along the water's edge. The Paseo Victoria is lined with historic buildings, galleries, cafes, & gelato shops (Argentina is famous for its gelato!). We then drive you back to where you are staying in Buenos AIres, where you can enjoy the memories.

What's not included

plan for approximately $15-20 per person for lunch
