The drive from Buenos AIres to Tigre is approximately 1 hour, & includes a short stop at the scenic Costanera Norte. Here, you can enjoy the view of the 'widest river in the world', the Rio de la Plata. This allows for a fabulous perspective of where we are going - to one of its smallest tributaries - the Luján River.
Once in Tigre, we start with a 1 hour boat tour through the Tigre Delta, the 5th largest delta system in the world. Enjoy scenic views of the historic buildings of Tigre, sail alongside kayakers, & soak in the tranquility of this extensive river system.
After enjoying a delicious lunch at at one of the city's most highly rated riverside restaurants (please note that all food & drink is not included in the tour price) we make our way to the Tigre Art Gallery. This beautiful historic building is a work of art unto itself. In the 19th century it was the social club for the Buenos AIres elite, and now it houses art of some of Argentina's most emblematic artists.
The Puerto de Frutos is an extensive waterfront market, full of local artisenal crafts & goods. Whether you want to get a few local souvenirs, or just soak in some of the local Tigre vibe, this market is the place to be.
We take 1 last stroll along the water's edge. The Paseo Victoria is lined with historic buildings, galleries, cafes, & gelato shops (Argentina is famous for its gelato!). We then drive you back to where you are staying in Buenos AIres, where you can enjoy the memories.
