About this experience

Kikuchi Valley is Kumamoto Natural Recreation Forest.
It is a tourist attraction representing Kikuchi, having been selected as one of Japan's Top 100 Forests for Forest Bathing, Japan's Top 100 Famous Waterfalls, Japan's Top 100 Forests with Water Sources, Kumamoto's Top 100 Green Sceneries, Kumamoto's Top 100 Natural Sceneries, and New Kumamoto's Top 100 Sceneries.
Kikuchi Valley, the source of the Kikuchi River, is covered with dense natural broadleaf trees, and the freshwater flowing through them creates rapids, pools, and waterfalls of all sizes, and the sight of this varied mountain stream interwoven with the beautiful forest is magnificent.
It is also known as a natural cooler, with the average water temperature in summer being a low 13°C, and the cutting clear waters make it an ideal summer resort. The sounds of the babbling river and the chirping of birds along the valley will inspire pleasant dreams, and in autumn the autumn leaves reflecting in the stream are magnificent.
