Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Begin your day early with a comfortable pickup from your Aswan hotel or Nile cruise by your private Egyptologist guide. Relax in an air-conditioned vehicle as you travel through the golden desert landscapes of southern Egypt toward one of the most extraordinary ancient sites — the Abu Simbel Temples.

2
Stop 2

Carved into the sandstone cliffs during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II, the two temples stand as eternal symbols of ancient Egyptian power and devotion. Your guide will lead you first to the Great Temple of Ramses II, where four colossal seated statues of the pharaoh guard the entrance, each over 20 meters high. Inside, explore beautifully carved halls that depict scenes of Ramses’ victories and his divine worship of the gods Ra-Horakhty, Amun, and Ptah.

Continue to the Temple of Queen Nefertari, a breathtaking monument built in honor of Ramses’ beloved wife and the goddess Hathor. Admire the six massive statues on its façade and the finely detailed reliefs illustrating royal life and divine harmony.

Your guide will also share the incredible story of how the entire temple complex was relocated in the 1960s to protect it from flooding after the construction of the Aswan High Dam — one of the world’s greatest archaeological rescue operations.

3
Stop 3

After exploring and taking memorable photos, enjoy your relaxing drive back to Aswan, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel or cruise with unforgettable memories of this ancient masterpiece.
