About this experience

Starting from Catania, one our guide will lead you along a beautiful naturalistic path, while explaining the origins of our Volcano. At 2000 mt you will catch cable car to reach 2500 mt and then on a 4x4 vehicle you will go up 2950 mt. Alpine guides will show you the beautiful landscape of the base of the summit craters seeing at 1 km of distance the main crater. Please note that the cost of the cable car and 4x4 ticket is not included in the tour price,you will pay them to the guide directly on the day of the tour (70€).
* In winter time, in case the trails are covered by a thick layer of snow (usually from January to March), part of the excursion will take place using snowshoes and sticks. It could be possible that you will go on the snow cat vehicle with an extra cost of 30 euro per person.
Then, join with us the visit of a cave of volcanic origins with all the equipment provided by us.
At lunchtime enjoy a lunch made of Sicilian typical street food, water, and local wine.

Stop 1

Spend the day discovering one of the world’s most beautiful and active Volcanoes during this small-group trip to Mt. Etna. Depart in the morning from Catania and head to Rifugio Sapienza at Etna’s base. Travel by cable car and off-road vehicle up to the volcano’s craters, and go for a hike at 3000 meters!

Visit a cave of volcanic origins with the equipment provided by us (helmets and torches).
